2001 caravan rear hatch doesnt open with pad

hi i have a caravan theres the hand pad you have to push above the license
plate to get the hatch to open and nothing seems to happen the door opens
good with the key ive took the panel off and there is no power to that pad
was wondering if someone has a wiring diagram for this or might have an idea
what is wrong possibly body control modual

Did you ever find
out what the problem was? My 2001 GCS is doing the same thing.
