Any error codes? Does it stall if the gas cap is off?

Start with R/WD40/R any connectors you can see around the battery area.
Verify that the DC power cables on the battery + terminal are all OK.

Get your alternator checked for the correct charging waveform. If your
battery was dead the problem could be the alternator.

there was only 1 auxilary wire on the positive terminal, i ensured it was back on and secure, nothing but the + and - terminals were touched.. Im having another look at it tomorrow because its annoying me.. Going to buy a scabby multimeter to tell me ig the alternator is charging which i dont see why it wouldnt be as, it gets driven around all the time and the car would have drained the battery by now..

on the error codes, i am unsure on how to get them at home and the work scan tool isnt able to be lended out of the workshop

Make sure that the throttle body is clean. As dirt builds up around the
throttle plate the computer raises the base idle to compensate for the blockage.
When you disconnect the battery the computer is reset to factory new (clean)
idle speed.

Its possible that the alternator has a failed diode, which means that the
charge waveform (and current) is not correct. A multimeter will show that
the voltage is more or less correct. The incorrect waveform (hi frequency
pulses) can interfere with the ECU operation.

This weekend, i will be, starting from scratch (and daylight) run car, carry out a throttle body clean, clean idle step-up motor, disconnect battery, reconnect, check charging rate.. if this doesnt fix magna, i will be very p'd off

Is there an idle reset procedure? eg, run in neutral with no accessories on, then idle i drive with everything running, then rev at revs in park??
