2000 s-type having trouble starting

I have a 2000 s-type v6 and over the last month I have had issues starting the car. For the most part its fine, but every few days the engine will turn, but not catch. After waiting a few minutes and turing the key a few times it starts up again. This may happen a several times in a row over the coarse of the day. I have been told I may need to replace the fuel filter or the fuel pump. If anyone has any advice I would greatly appreciate it!

Inertia switch near the passengers seat side, it is located under the dash could be the problem. You need to remove a small door clearly get hold of it....the switch might have tripped accidentally for no reason........you just need to press the button on.........this will solve the starting problem of your car...hope you got what you wanted..
