That icon is the warning indicator that one of the rear lights is not
working. As zonie suggested, check the center high mounted stop lamp, turn
signals, backup lights, and license plate lights. In almost every case, the
owner has missed one of the burned out bulbs. If all of the bulbs are
actually good, check the ground wires for all of the lights and for the
warning sensor.
