Hi Guys I have a 2000 Passport with only 54,000 miles and having an issue with the heat. It blows hot for the first 5 minutes of driving and then blows cool. I took the car into my mechanic he check the head gasket which is fine then replaced the thermostat and waterpump. After he put the car back together he drove it for 5 minutes with the head working fine then it lost heat again. He is at a loss so if anyone had this problem and knows the fix please email me at dutzman RemoveThis @optonline.net or post .

Hi My passport started acting weird, like, blower worked intermittently, radio started working intermittently.

It turned out to be a bad battery & a bad alternator at the same time.
After replacing both, I had no more troubles

To be sure it is the alternator, you need to take it off and let the auto parts store check the alternator by itself.
With a voltmeter you should read 14 to 15 volts, which is a normal charging range for the passport.

"But, you should get a book on the exact vehicle make and model to be sure, Chilton's automotive manual seems to be the best manual you can own"
