We took our 2000 Grand Am in for some major work at the dealership. We thought that while it was in we could get something else fixed. The fan speeds on the heater or A/C do not work on #1 or #2 settings. I thought the problem should be with the switch. Dealership tells us we need new blower!!!..
« The odds are very low that the switch is at fault. The odds are very high that the blower motor resistor or the blower motor itself is at fault. Could also be the hvac module. However, if you want .. »

I own a 2000 2.4 cyl Pontiac Gran AM and my dashboard is lit up with indications that something's wrong. My ABS light, Trac Off light, and Service Vehicle soon Light are all on and my car makes a humming/grinding sound that gets louder whenever I turn right. I've replaced my front, driver's side c..

« There are no "wires", spark energy is transferred thru wire coil springs that fit between the plugs and the coils. Since this engine type came out in the late 80s, I can't recall ever seeing them .. »
« Found my own answer. Apparently this engine is a lot more sophisticated than I had suspected. The plugs are down between the two cam towers (good location, putting the plugs dead center in the top.. »

Hey everyone. My car has been working fine for the past few weeks (ever since we got it back from the auto shop due to a bad brakes and ABS system). I put the key in a few minutes ago and turned the car on, and I tried to shift it into drive but it won't budge. I've looked online to see others ha..
