Hey Y'all, I have a 1999 Toyota Corolla (Japanese). There's a particular warning light that comes on ocassionally but I don't understand what it means. It looks lika a horseshoe with 2 arrows pointing to the center. Does anyone have any idea what this is for or where I could some info on this part..

Hello All, I have a 1999 Toyota Corolla LE that has an orange, what appears to be, airbag light blinking on and off. The car just rolled over 52,000 miles. Is the light indicating an inspection is needed or is it an indication that the airbag system has failed? Also, is a trip to a mechanic necess..
« That means that the air bag system is not working. You need to take it to a mechanic who is familiar with working on airbag systems (like your dealer). Jeff »

I have a 1999 toyota corolla. The airbag light is on and the horn won't work. I got the car checked and was told that I need a new clock spring(something in the steering column). The part cost around $200 and toyota would charge $150 more to install it. Does anyone know if it is fairly easy to ins..
« I agree with qslm. If you do not follow all of the steps in the correct order, you could deploy the airbag, which is even more expensive to replace than the clockspring, and as qslm noted, if it .. »
« FYI, the clockspring cable is a multiple conductor flat cable that goes between the rotating upper steering column / steering wheel and the stationary outer steering column. They call it a clockspri.. »

Hey all, I have a 1999 corolla 1.8 auto trans that just recently developed a no start(not even turning over) problem. It's not a low battery or fuses. The temperature dropped to minus degrees, and over the past few days I've had intermittant radio problems, where it will shut off, then won't go on..
« Update: I have a problem with the wiring. The starter solenoid isn't getting any current from the fusebox and isn't showing any grounding. What wires are involved here and approx how long to fix? T.. »
