Post subject: 1999 Bravada transmission

I have a 1999 Bravada, so far I have tried 2 different transmissions, both were supposed to be compatable although they were out of a GMC jimmy, and a blazer, neither of them have worked. I have a transmission from a 1996 olds Bravada same engine as my 1999. Is this a interchangable transmission. They both are 4.3 vortec, v6 with smart trac. I was told the plugs would not match but it looks identical to the one that came out of my car Please I desperately need an anwser. Thank you Confused Confused Sad
