Post subject: 1998 explorer sport brake lights

I have a 98 explorer sport, manual transmission, at a stop light another driver told me my brake lights were not working. I replaced the bulbs but the lights still didn't work. I replaced the switch and checked all the fuses, still no lights. What else could it be? I tried contacting ford and they were no help. Anyone else run into this problem?
