I just posted a similar message in alt.autos.toyota.trucks,

So far, suggestions from respondents are to check ignition wires and
fuel filter.
Your problem sounds a bit different than mine. Mine has either a 1-2
second loss of power (experieced that once or twice) or, more
frequently, a quick miss which is felt as a sudden jolt while driving.
Mine usually does it when cruising, light throttle.
The problem you describe is a bit like the stumble when accelerating
off idle that I had in my van. That was a cracked air intake hose
between the air flow meter and the throttle body creating a vacuum
leak. The crack widened when the motor moved on its mounts under
acceleration.
I'm not sure how the TPS works in these trucks. Some TPSs are a
simple switch, some are a rheostat.
