1997 Ford Escort Every time I turn off car and then restart all the presets for the stock stereo and clock time are cleared any ideas on why?

I have the 1997 ford escort with the split port induction 2000 engine. The A/C clutch engages and disengages while A/C is on in a 3 or 4 second cycle. It's been doing this for several years and makes the car feel like it's surging. I changed the CCRM last year thinking that would fix the problem..

i own a 1997 escort with 4 doors . and manual shift . my question is about my fuel pump . quite frequently the fuel pump in my car developes a rather annoying hum. at times it can be loud enough to be heard from outside the car . the car runs fine . no loss of power . is this noise common , should..
« Ford has had loud fuel pumps for many years. I myself wouldn't worry about it until it goes because a lot of replacement pumps are probably worse than what you have in there now. Unless, of course, .. »
