1996 Subaru Impreza 2.0 Sport 16v (non-turbo) won't start

Hi all

I have a problem with my 1996 Impreza 2.0 Sport 16v (non-turbo), when i turn the key in the ignition all i get is a click, nothing else, not turning over at all. At first I thought it must be the battery so i removed and fully charged it, now having replaced the battery i still have the sme problem. The lights and all electrics work in the car so I don't think it is a battery problem, then I thought it might be the starter motor as it sounds like the click is coming from that. The starter was only replaced about 3 months ago so surely it should not be this???

Any help or advice/suggestions would be hugely appreciated
