Once again, this is a 1995 Civic EX 1.6L 125HP sedan. Don't have the serial number at hand. I've done valve lash adjustments on old Volvo pushrod engines, but nothing like this. It sounds like the adjustment mechanism is surprisingly similar, though: set screw and locknut. So, any tricks? Is t..

« "mjc13 wrote in It *most certainly* is. I do my valves every year. I use no special tools, just a flat-blade screwdriver, a 12mm wrench and a feeler gauge set. The critical thing to do is to make .. »

1995 Civic EX sedan, with roof-mounted antenna. The antenna seems kind of short fully extended, and the radio reception is the worst I've ever had. I can't just drop in a cheap Sony because I also have the 6 CD changer in the trunk. Is this poor FM reception normal for this car? Would an ident..

http://Toyota.autoboardz.com/Honda-brand-antifreeze-ftopict233746.html (How much is Honda brand antifreeze?)
I've been reading around the web that only Honda brand coolant should be used for the Honda. Tonight, for the first time, I noticed my 1995 Civic EX's temperature gauge three quarters of the way to the hot setting, whereas it's usually one quarter past cool. I'm going to check the reservoir ..
« Do not add Prestone. You risk an early water pump failure with it. OEM is something like twice as much. Your owner's manual will tell you the 95 Civic is due for a coolant flush every every 2 year.. »
« @corp.supernews.com: How much of the antifreeze/water mixture will fill up the radiator and the reservoir after a complete coolant flush? I'm thinking of buying the Honda coolant from the dealer (u.. »

« in article courseincivics@jfdsjlsjz says... Honda coolant is sold in gallon jugs, but it's premixed already (no need to add water). At my dealer it's about $13 a gallon. Dave »

I'm buying one with a broken left headlight unit - looks like it was shot with a pellet gun. How do I go about replacing it, and does anyone have a good source for the replacement light? Honda wants $101 for it. Plus tax.

« Thanks, although I hope you're wrong about the bumper. I found a better source, which I'll post after I order the part - don't want them to sell the last one to someone else! Wink »
