Post subject: 1994 Isuzu Rodeo

I just found out I have a ?1994" not a "1995 because of circa 1994 with "POWER? and "WINTER" buttons on dash. Can this be?
It seems my 4x4 works fine but then does not want to disengage into 2H. It makes a knocking sound as if it is still on 4x4. What could it be?
