| Does anyone have a copy of the wiring diagram for the 1993 Mercury Topaz
with a 2.3L 4 cylinder engine? I've got a short someplace that is
discharging the battery and could really use a diagram to trace down the
problem..Thanks email to

I've been to the Library SEVERAL times, books not available right now and
on line and called several people I know, haven't found one yet. I could
purchase one for $10-12, but would just as soon not because I want to get
rid of the car. So, don't you be presumptuous!!

Did you isolate the circuit like I mentioned in my answer to your previous
post? Wiring diagrams aren't one page jobs like they were in the 60's if you
can isolate the circuit then I can probably get the page you need but I
don't have them in soft copy and I don't have a scanner so best I can do is
take a digital photo of the ones I have but since I'm on dialup I don't
really feel like uploading 16 Megs of pics at 26400 bps when I can just send
800K
Help me help you. StuK

Hey man, I'm just saying that you gotta do some research (which you did,
apparently). You don't want to buy the book, I understand, but how
badly do you want to fix this? Do you want to sell the car? You might
have to buy a book and throw it away later.
Just don't expect people to email you huge files. And, giving out email
addys willy nilly is not good policy.

Yeah, I noticed that. You effectively saved him a $100 diagnostic fee,
and what does he do? Nothing but repeat himself, and expect wiring
diagrams to appear on his doorstep. No actual "ok, I did this, and this
happened" type of stuff you might expect to see.

Ah well met my good man! You and your bloody daily doublesch!
I just picked up a bunch of Chilton manuals that our local library was
withdrawing so I have them for late '80's to '96 and I got a Haynes
Tempo/Topaz just for shits and giggles. They were asking for donations so I
gave a loonie for each one.Added them to my expanding library of reference
material.
BTW I have set of 7 spoke alloys for one if you want em. Shipping will be a
BEEYOTCH to you though!

Still subscribed but I just check to see if there is any vintage stuff on
here. Seems to be a bit of "other model" chatter. I know only a bit about 99

Well the motors in the garage on the stand wrapped up for the winter to keep
it dry and critter free. I'm hoping to get the car ready to drop it in this
summer. I have no illusions about it being on the road this year but 2007 is
my goal.
I'm scouring the net for pricing on various parts and front end stuff. I see
they are making full doors for '67/'68's now.
I got a set of 64 T-bird lights off epay for cheap so they are on their
way. The car is going to be a Terlingua replica ( in paint anyway) but I
thought what the hell I think I'll do a Shelby backend treatment but I'm not
doing the rear kickup spoiler so that it looks different than a CS car. It
will neccessitate modifying (read cut off) the drop down in the center of
the trunk. I'm kicking myself now for not getting the cheap trunk lid at
Carlisle last year ( 20 US!) and cajoling Ed to stuff it in his T birds
trunk...oh well maybe this year.
First thing I need to do is roll it in the garage when the weather breaks
and get it in the air to finish the floor welding and get the front ends
torn down and redone. Shelby drop yada yada. May need new UCA's or I may box
weld up the old ones if they don't look too bad, my gut feeling is they are
going to be too gross to even look at and I've seen them for 50 CDN each for
new ( and box them too) I have some 72 Mustang discs I may use or sell them
and do something more modern. Rack and pinion is in and I need to get a new
steering column as the '67's is not too comapatible with the new steering
gear.
I'm messing with the dash cluster at the moment, playing around with LED
back lighting with mixed success but I know where I'm going after some
experimenting.
Brains always ticking so it is an evolving process...

Remember the "Seven Mustangs" post? Some other Ford guy Don knows
bought the 60's cars. He supposedly has several more parts cars. Is
there anything you want me to check up on?

Should look good if you can pull it off. Speaking of Ed, does he
need any parts? I'm picking up a '90 SC tomorrow.

I don't know if you caught the MII post yet, but it has a manual
rack setup in it. Is this what you put in the '67? How hard was it?
