A not uncommon problem that does this is the final drive (differential)
bearings. Does it grind in reverse too? For a 93, its probably not worth
fixing the trans (though its not difficult), just get a decent replacement
from a wrecker. Yours is either an F5M21 (4G15 engine) or F5M22 (4G93
engine), and is the same as fitted to the 93-95 Eagle Summit coupe and Dodge
Colt sedan.
Other possibilities are
- front wheel bearing(s)
- front or rear engine mount broken. Get a decent spare from a wrecker for
maybe $20 each, or pay $100 or so for a new one.
