So I'm the pharmacy line waiting a long time and my car just dies. It's about 30F temperature outside. I was able get the car going by giving it gass IMMEDIATELY after I took it out of park. The Engine Pressure/Temp light was flashing after it went off. I checked 60AMP fuse for the fan blower, it..

I've had a problem with it my car getting stuck in 2nd gear (it's an automatic) So transmission problem, vacuum ..??? Any thoughts?
« You should pull the codes to have a better idea. Just guessing, it sounds like the ECU has put the trans in 'limp' mode due to an error condition that needs to be resolved. Erik wrote: »

My alarm randomly goes off ( I disconnected the speaker/horn in the trunk) and the lights flash.. any ideas what I can look at to make this stop? Thanks Erik
« I believe there is a battery pack somewhere in the car. My '97 VW Jetta had this problem and it was the battery pack for the alarm. Can't remember where it was located in the car..... Dan D '04 A4 1.. »

My automatic transmission usuall gets stuck in 2nd or 3rd gear. So I looked at the manual and it says that transmission fluid must be perfect and that in Quattro's you can not change the fluid. I take the key out and the car is still running. If I jiggle key enough the engine will cut off, but the instrument cluster lights are on like it's in the AC electrical mode (the step before actually starting the car). I've replace the starter with a brand new one, that has not helped. HELP PLEASE!
