Post subject: 1992 camry v6le slipping in reverse only
Just changed fluid and filter in auto trans, and 2 days later reverse seems to be slipping badly. noticed that it seemed to jump back and forth between 2nd and 3rd when throttling hard, right before i noticed the reverse was slipping. after it warmed up no more jerking inbetween gears when throttling up, but i am getting ready to take this car on a long family trip across the desert, and im not sure if reverse slipping is an indication that the transmission is going to fail. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. were on an extremely tight budget and really cant afford to have the transmission worked on.
