i installed left side 1st then right side cv acels. Test drove and seemed
normal till i stopped at 1st stop sign.car revs as if in neutral,mabey
something loose in tranny-any suggestions?

Did you put the new axles into the transmission ALL the way?
If they didn't go in far enough for the snap ring to do its thing, then
they can "walk" themselves right back out again as you drive.

Did you lose a lot of fluid when you pulled the old ones? Did you
top up any missing fluid before you went driving?

1996 Lincoln Continental with transmission problems - I think you guys are missing my point... I understand that a tranny overhaul might be the only solution, but... It's the "WIERD PART" that is confusing me. This tranny drives out great! It doesn't slip. It shifts out just fine. It pulls hard....

1990 lincoln town car squeak question - I drive a 1990 lincoln town car now when I first start my car up I hear a really obnoxious high pitch squeak after the car warms up and is idling normally the squeaking stops, but when I roll up the windows go from stop to start the squeaking comes back....

1993 Lincoln Towncar shifting problem - Shifting lever will not release from park with engine running. Will release from park by turning ignition swith towards the start position but before engine starts.

Lincoln Town Car - automatic door locking when selecting d.. - I have a Lincoln Town Car (1994) which automatically locks the doors when you select drive and I also have another Lincoln Town Car (2001) which does not automatically lock the dors when you select drive. Does anyone know how I can set the 2001 vehicle....
