We have a 1990 Subaru Legacy, AT, AWD, wagon and it seems to run smooth, no smoke from the exaust. Just replaced the radiator. Took it in for emissions and it failed. Anyone with ideas??? Thank-you.

This is what I've done so far........ Replaced coils... Still 0nly 1&2 fire, 3&4 no reading digital multi Replaced ignition computer ... still same Replaced electronic controls...still same If anyone has Any idea, I would sure appreciate it, I too am too poor to afford a mechanic, but mech incline..

I have a 90 Legacy that is overheating. My mechanic replaced the timing stuff, water pump, radiator & thermostat (With Subaru thermostat). After investing over $1,200.00 to this point it still overheats. My mechanic continually tells me that it's not a head gasket problem. He said that he's alread..

i recently bought a 1990 subaru legacy (six months ago) it has 175000 miles on it. since i bought i have had to replace the timing belt and the fuel pump. thats fine. (which i did, not a mechanic) but now my car seems to be overheating. i will be driving down the road going 60 and all of a sud..
