Hello,
I have a 1990 Chevy Celebrity Wagon V6 3.1 L
The car has a check engine light on and the spedometer does not work. The engine also races and sometimes stalls.
Meanwhile, sometimes the light is out and then the spedometer starts to work again, but the car still tends to stall. Seems like the rpms are too low. I had it to the mechanic 3 times and he could not figure it out.
We had the Speed sensor and coolant temperature sensor replaced.
The mechanic described the sound of the engine as the car shutting itself off and then turning itself back on real quick giving a lack of rpm, more rpm. This happned when light was on.
The mechanic says there were no codes on the computer, but I did get a coolant temp code so we replace that sensor, but the code continues to come up for me. THE MECHANIC NEVER GOT A CODE.
Past history: The car had a coolant leak, which we had repaired. The mechanic now says we also need a new radiator due to holes, but these were all after the problem began.
My car is now sitting on the street and I'd much love to get it up and running again.
Thank,
MyComputerMan
