My heater and a/c blower no longer works. I first checked the fuses to find none of them blown. I tapped on the blower and nothing changed. I took it to a technician whom determind that there was no power to the switch and no power to the resistor. The harness leading into the switch does not have power.
The A/C light comes on when I press the button and it seems as though the A/C clutch engages though I have not seen it actually engage.
I do get hot or cold air pushed through the vents while driving on their respective settings. Air does not move through the system while on Defrost.
I can not even find a wiring diagram online nor in any books.

The single most common cause of the problem you have is a burned out bulb.

The second most common cause is a bad ground at one or more of the lamp
assemblies.

Given the description of your problem, I expect you will find some sort of
misfire -- broken plug wire, bad plug, something like http://www.thepartsbin.com/guides/ford/ranger.html (ford ranger). But, DO NOT pick up any wrenches based on that guess, pull codes and fix what the truck is
asking you to fix.

Are you serious??? That is amazing, I had the drivers side headlight low beam burn out at the same time I noticed the problem (high beam still works). I had no idea that would be directly related. I will replace the bulb tomorrow and see if that fixes the problem. Thank you for that insight.

Unfortunately replacing the headlight did not fix the heater problem. Thank you for your help though.
