Post subject: 1986 Vette Transmission

Hi, After searching i cannot find a for shure answer as into what type
of transmission i have in my vette. Can anyone Clarify this for me? im
having trouble and may need to replace it, its not shifting from 1st
to second. Thank you in advance!!!

Could be the governor spring has popped out of place. It will only
shift 1st to 2nd when you let up on acceleration? If so it's not a big
problem to fix in the 700R4 but will require a trip to a shop.

85 vette - i just purchased an 85 vette that has been somewhat neglected. I am having a problem with the digital dash lights. They go bright and dim and the volt meter fluctuates up and down as well. What can I do to fix this??

First Vette - Looks like I'll be buying my first Vette a few weeks (added this group to my favorites.) It's 99 coupe Magnetic Red with a black interior with the Z51 package and 6 spd. I've been a synthetic user since 1980 (Amsoil mostly.) I know they been using..

90 Vette for sale - I am selling my 90 model C4 against my will, but have to. Charcoal Mettalic ext., black/grey int., 108000 miles. Interior is all original except the after market cd player. The exterior is in great condition with only one minor chip on the drivers door..

starter for 1969 vette - are starters easy to replace on a 1969vette big block L-71 motor.
