1974 Chev Nova hatchback model needs to have the passenger side, rear
quarter glass replaced. Please contact me if you have the glass piece or
know where I can get one.
Thanks
Charlie

This is going to sound silly, but have you tried the local auto glass shops?

Yes. I tried every one of them in San Diego and they don't supply it nor
have any idea, other than salvage, to get it. No luck yet.

the very next day...

FYI,
I found a website, http://www.junkyarddog.com/, that took my part
request and broadcast it to several auto parts recyclers. Next day I had
4 or 5 recyclers responding via email that they had the part, price, and
a contact phone number.
I ordered the part from Desert Valley Auto Parts, http://www.dvap.com/.
I'll post again when I get the part to let you know how the transaction
went.
Cheers,
Charlie

I can't speak for your part specifically, but we've ordered a lot of stuff
from Desert Valley. It takes a little longer to get things because they're
in the middle of nowhere -- as they said, the UPS truck only comes out once
a week -- but their quality is high, their service is great and the parts
are exactly as they say they are.

Just want to follow up and let you all know that I received the glass in
good order from Desert Valley Auto Parts. I would not hesitate to do
business with them again. I'm very satisifed with the product they
provided and their process.
