I was looking for workshop manual for my 166 when I came across
www.workshopmanuals.co.uk. Does anyone know anything about this guy
whose name is Christopher Warren.

I downloaded 3 times the Alfa 166.zip file but it is corrupt. I have
complained 4 or 5 times without any response and then I get this.

"YOUR copy is corrupt, it's not corrupt on the server and nobody else
has issues with it."

So I replied with this;

"Then why after 3 downloads am I getting the same 3 errors. As a IT
Engineer I know a bit about these things and the error I am getting
usually reflects an error with the creation process. Is there any way
of you providing a temp ftp link to an unzipped version?"

His reply was;

"...I'm an IT engineer too...? Your point isn't valid, the file is
corrupt due to the download and creation process on YOUR computer.

Too quick to blame other people."

My last reply ;

"My point is that it has never happened before with the thousands of
downloads I do for websites and files from clients all over the world.
So why only your system is doing this. I'm a M/S tester and download
huge files from them and Adode without any problems.

Are you prepared to offer some sort of FTP access for me to down load
and unzipped version? I can't see how this can be a problem to someone
who is an IT engineer.

Otherwise cancel my payment please."

Has anyone else experienced this person or his site.

Best of all I would like a copy of this file from anyone who may have
it.

No, but it certainly sounds like he's breaking copyright law *if* he
really has copies of the manuals and is charging for them.

The images on his website are definitely DTE ... which has now been
superceeded by eLearn. And yes, it is copyright material and illegal to
copy, etc.
