Post subject: alfa 156

got a 1.8 156 with irregular tickover and lack of power. replaced
airflow meter,spark plugs and leads.
local garage tested car with electronic reader and said lambda sensor
was reacting slowly.
anyone out there got any ideas as i dont want to replace it if its not
the problem

Mine needs a new sensor every MOT due to the emissions test failure.

Probably needs an Italian tune up rather than a new one. AIUI you commute by
cycle so presumably the car doesn't get used much.

Indeed. My wife drives the *one mile* to work in it. Can't be doing it much
good - that said, it's done nearly 100,000 miles from new. It still likes to
drink oil though.

Alfa belts..again! - Hi all Ive read some of the threads concerning cambelts thoroughly but have a question. Ive just bought a 3.0 166 with 37,000 miles. Its a great car. But does anyone know when the cambelt needs to be changed on the 3.0? I read somewhere else that on 4....
