Post subject: 156 Heater motor

The heater motor on my 156 is screeching like a beaten bitch, what is
involved in its replacement? Looks like a lot of plastic has to be removed!
Any feedback would be welcomed.

Nope. Can be removed by getting your head well into the passenger side
footwell, removing two or three bolts/nuts/screws and the motor (a
fairly beefy affair btw) drops out. Watched a mechanic do it when
leaves got caught in the vanes causing a terrible racket on the day I
went on summer holiday one year.

Be VERY pleased it ain't a 105 chassis...
