Let me start by saying, that yes, I've heard all the stuff about how
"serious drivers" only drive in the car and don't consume food/liquids
at the same time etc...HOWEVER..

I do enjoy having a cup of coffee or some soda to drink (depending on
time of day or weather conditions etc..) while I'm driving as I imagine
lots of folks do.

I just purchased a new 2006 Forrester (replacing my 99). My 99 Forrester
had a pull out cup holder in the front just under the central air vents.
The down side was that it blocked the air vents, the plus side was that
it was perfectly situated for me!

The one and only thing I dislike about my new Forrester is that they no
longer have a cup holder there, replacing it with 2 cup holders "on the
floor".

However, these are situated in a very very inconveient position, I have
to really twist my arm in an awkward fashion to reach anything I put in
them. Not so bad with a bottle of soda, but makes me very nervous with a
hot cup of coffee!

Are there any after market cup holder type thingies that I could get to
help me out ? (There used to be one that could actually be attatched to
the air vent, not sure if they are still around).

Jerry
