There was a Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) on the crankshaft for 03, 04
and 05 model years, I believe. I don't think it mentioned them ever falling
off though. Nasty thing to happen and I'm glad nobody was hurt.

Tight turns when in 4x4 mode will be difficult. As I understand the
technology, it is a natural consequence of being in full-time 4x4 and
probably unavoidable.
