Post subject: Question on the '04/'05 Acura MDX DVD Player
Archived from groups: alt>autos>acura (more info?)

Hi folks,

1st time post to this group. I am adamantly looking to buy a MDX in the
next month or so. Have any of you had good results with this vehicle?

Also, I would like to get the Navi/DVD package. Although I like how it
is built into the dash, I need to know if the DVD player can be modified
to play in the front Navigation screen and if so , what the quality
looks like on that screen. I don't know the specifics of that screen
(how many pixels, TFT or not etc.). But if this is not possible, I would
then have to go with an aftermarket solution. I would rather not though,
so I am hoping someone has had experimented with this.

Thanks.

Illegal? Maybe on Acura's end but there are plenty of units on the
market that play DVDs in the front so is there is nothing wrong with a
modification so long as I dont care for the warranty .What is illegal is
driving while watching those DVDs ....

so anyways I will probably pass on that DVD/Bose Sound completely. KBB
is showing me almost a $3000 dollar difference just for that bose radio,
Navi/DVD, and some rain sensing wipers... think i'll pass and get that
pioneer avic-N1 DVD/Navi unit. That baby is awesome.

So how do folks like the MDX?
