Post subject: 03 PT Cruiser lights flickering

| have a 03 PT Cruiser/2.4 turbo. Headlights, interior lights, and dash
lights all flicker. Took to local dealer, replaced generator, did not
fix. Replaced pcm, did not fix. dealer service tech said this is nomal
condition and that several pt's on lot did the same. I have replaced
battery, previous battery was leaking, and cleaned cables. Car has
63,000+ miles. Any suggestions?

The dealer needs to see if there is an update for the PCM. If they just
replaced the PCM with the same controller and did not update to the newest
software your problem may still be there. The PCM controls generator output.

typical repair and response from a dealer
checking and cleaning all grounds and cleaning battery terminals will more
than likely cure this issue pull the air filter stuff and inspect the
battery for corrision/acid all over the top of the battery

Why would there be acid all over a new battery Dirtbag? Is this the reason
why they fired your ass from the dealer? damn I hope you don't work on all
vehicles this way.

How do I turn fog lights on in '01 PT Cruiser?? - OK, if I put the turn signal arm onto right turn, and then pull it back toward me, it turns on the high beams and also turns on the fog lights. However, as soon as the right turn is canceled, the signal arm goes back to neutral and the fogs lights go off...
Changing dash lights on PT Cruiser? - Yesterday, the light went out that illuminates the gas gauge. I can see no way to get to the bulb, which the manual says is a "74". The car is a 2005 Convertible. -- "What do you mean there's no movie?"
