Post subject: 00 Neon not acting right

My car acts like its wants to cut off when i stop at read lights.. my
engine light isnt on and i have a brand new battery installed the other
day so I do not know what the problem is...

You need to start by finding out what the fault code is that turned the
check engine lite on!! A scan toll is needed for this

The same thing happened to me and probably it should be related to the
idle sensor or fuel-related.

my 00 neon started that way... cycle your ignition key from accessory to on position 3 times within 5 seconds and on the 3rd time leave in the on position, this will flash error codes in the odometer... let it go till it says done. your local chrysler dealer mech. can tell you qhat they mean.

check the fuel filter/reg on the side of the fuel tank.this happened to our car and that was the problem.
