i have a civic and it wont start it has spark, fuel but not sure about
the timing. ive heard that when the belt slips the valve stays opes and
the piston bendds the valve or the piston gets a hole or dent

have you tried to check the timing yet because it is a common honda
problem to slip timing make sure all of your distubitor bolts are tight

rubbish. it's common for the cam belt to skip making it look like the
timing's off, but that's not the fault of the distributor bolts. and
anyone thinking they can mess with the distributor to sort out a skipped
cam belt is utterly clueless.

start with tegger.com and go to the no-start faq. work through that and
get back with specific questions if it doesn't help you.

now here's the important bit: "the quality of the answers you receive
depend on the quality of your question".

It's a challenge! See http://tegger.com/hondafaq/cranktool/index.html for
hints. While you are there, see the part about how to get the new belt on
right. It can save you some aggravation.

You didn't use the starter to turn the engine for lining things up without
loading the ignition coil, I hope. If the engine is cranked with the
distributor cap off or the plug wires off it can mean curtains for the
ignition coil.
