Where is it in my car? I have a flat tire that I can't change becuase there
is this big bolt in the middle. I have changed flats on other wheels in
this car with no problem at all. Is this thing just on one tire, because if
I had to deal with it before, I would have remembered. Also my car has been
in the shop many times for brakes, etc. There must be some standard place in
the car. I have called AAA so I already feel like a dope. My Haynes manual
is at home so I can't look it up.

Please help!

in the middle of what? did you take the lug nuts off? is it the 36mm
nut in the middle you're talking about? if the nuts are off then the
wheel is just stuck to the hub. give it a kick from behind, it'll pop.

Remember now, I ride the yellow bus to school.

I had a hard time getting my tire off yesterday. I thought that the center
nut that holds your bearings was a locking nut. I had AAA come to tow my
car and while they were lowering my car the tire came off. Then I thought I
was weak because I couldn't get tire off.

To make my day worse, on my way home, I went over a bump and that made my
spare doughnut go flat. I called AAA again and a guy came and filled my
tire up with air. That fixed the problem, it seems as if my spare did not
have enough air in it so when I went over the bump (pothole) the compression
opened up a seal and let my air off.

After I got the spare back on I went to a used tire dealer. I the guy there
use a rubber mallet to get other people's tires off of their car. So I
don't feel so bad now about not being able to get the tire off. I bought a
used tire (it took them almost half an hour to find one my size). I am fat
dumb and happy now.

LOL, If the car is not jacked up high enough, you may have trouble getting
the tire off. Usually a couple of good kicks on opposite sided of the tire
will break the wheel loose.

Chip, you were right, see my other post about how I figured it out.

Just never had a tire stuck to the hub before.
